Seems kinda silly to me. Makes me want to watch this:
    <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kCpjgl2baLs?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kCpjgl2baLs?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>
Pretty funny. So Harold Camping has used god maths to predict the end of the world in May 21st, 2011, leading to 5 months of suffering until the final day of the planet Earth on October 21, 2011. Fun stuff. Kinda wish I had super powers.

Did I step into a time portal into early 2003 or so?

    You have.

You're also still kickin' it with Ristezzere, because you haven't finished Arcanum yet, have you?

Anyway, the video above must always go along with this one:

How does that saying go? If you predict the same thing over and over again, sooner or later you'll be right.

I blame finishing a doctorate while simultaneously getting into MMORPGs (along with pure sloth) for never finishing this game.

But you know what! Time to rectify my old errors. Time to fix feeling like a fraud every time I post on this forum. It's time to load up the game + UAP + Music patch + High-res patch and finally become a man!

You mean you aren't going to finish the game naturally before using those modifiers?

Music + high res changes nothing, really.

The UAP a bugfix. It doesn't really change content, it's like the final patch. Why play a bugged game?

Some say suffering through the bugs makes one know what exactly Drog should be thanked for. Also, knowing the differences between vanilla and UAP allows you to be a smartass on the Arcanum subforums, and everyone enjoys being a smartass.

Another thing is that some restored content may replace content from vanilla, though I recall only one such thing at the moment. How far have you been in your most advanced game, Philes? You've seen the pre-UAP Bedokaan, right?

I finished the game for the first time a year ago. Possibly two years ago. Don't feel like a fraud.

I believe the farthest I've progressed pre-UAP was somewhere around the post Wheel Clan stuff, which isn't very far. I guess I don't really see the point of playing it in what appears to be an inferior state simply to be aware of it's inferiority firsthand. Reading the bugfixes is enough for me. And I'm more than capable of smartassery without further assistance Muro.

I guess I could sit around and bang my face with a hammer for awhile so that I'd be able to properly pontificate on the virtues of a post-facehammering world, but I'd rather not.

It's not like anything anyone's posts are going to change my mind on this anyway. This shit's already loaded up and rollin'!
