To Rosie, specifically. I don't think anyone else here is a mom...

I say this because I spent close to $200 getting my mom stuff she wanted. It would've been closer to $500, but as much as she wants one, she would not allow me to buy an iPod for her special day.

I did really well, I forgot about it entirely and about half way through the day when my mum called about something else I didn't mention it at all.

Luckily I've yet to see her, so I'm planning on buying a damned good gift to make up for it.

Mothers day was a few months ago. :p

It's a different date in different places. It seems to be the same date in all English speaking countries though.

Today I took my mother to Agway and bought her a bunch of tomato and pepper plants. Then I drove her the twenty minutes back to the family house.

My mom's a drug addict and I really hate her, so no mother's day's gifts for her.

To each their own. I'm fairly lucky in that I actually get along with my parents, and that I know where they both are at any one time.
But...I really don't care much for my dad. That whole, "I don't want to be with your mom anymore," impulse kinda pissed me off.

I really don't care for my mum either. That whole, "I tricked the family into believing that I had cancer for a year and spent the time using various drugs and sleep around with the entire world while I made sure that your dad will be in debt for his entire life" impulse kinda pissed me off too.

I really don't care much for my parents either. That whole, "We're going to be nice normal parents so Thomas will get a good childhood" impulse kinda pissed me off.

Isn't that how it always works out? First, they reel you in by not dropping or neglecting you as a child, then, they propagate the farce even further by paying attention to you and praising good behaviour, and finally, they let you go to college and be whatever you want to be. The bastards.

My father's agressive behaviour towards the family kinda pissed me off. Also, his apparent lack of intelligence so that he continued smoking after he found out he had cancer, and continued drinking after chemotherapy, and died of course, kinda pissed me off.
