Did the dentist at least give you lots of happy pills to make the pain go away?

Sort of. He jabbed me with painkillers. Made the right side of my face go numb. I'm currently lying on the couch debating the worth of going to find my Panadol, I feel like someone got one of those thin woodcarving tools and stabbed me in the gum.

Asthmatics can't use the more powerful over the counter stuff - it can fuck with the lungs. God-DAMN.

Having said which, feeling much better today. I still wanna stab someone, but that's normal.

Go forth and sate your blood-thirst! Maybe you're the cool kind of hemophiliac.

Why is it that true evil can only reside within a frail husk?

Is it because the Will to Power is more manifest in those Nature deprived physical prowess?

Well, actually, I was referring to her uncanny ability to, when she's bumped, bruised, or cut, cause everyone around her to start hemorrhaging.

I wasn't responding to you, I was thinking in more general terms about Xiao's frequent references to her health that made me somewhat surprised that she's made it as far as 24.

After all, Stalin was like 5'2'', Hitler was a gay vegetarian with a pathetic moustache and a shaky left arm and Arcanum halflings could very well have been modelled after Napoleon. Fictional characters such as Raistlin Majere barely have the stamina to breath, but they compensate for that by having awesome powers. A will to power manifest in those born without it, so to speak.

She's a fighter, what else can you say? Strength isn't something you can measure by going to the gym, it's how much you're willing to fight to keep your ass parked on this planet. Also, she's probably got something really important to do, and death isn't willing to intervene.

I'm curious about that too. Looking back, many people who've made a difference world wide have had some sort of ailment or vice that kept them way out of the norm. FDR, arguablythe greatest and most quoted US president, had polio as a child and was chair-bound.

I am one scary bitch. I don't think Death has the nerve to tangle with me just yet.

    Seriously, I'm stubborn, I ain't going anywhere.

That's true, even Churchill was suffering from Manic Depression, and JFK had Addison’s disease.

I wasn't that big of a fan of Raistlin. I've always been a big fan of Flint... Also, Vorak's pointing it out made me realize that I hit five years on the 30th of August. By the gods, has a lot changed since then, lol.

I think I’ll always like Fizban.
    • The constant battle with his hat.
The meaningless violence against non-moving trees that stepped in his path.
The floating light that was afraid of the dark.
The propensity to cast fireball in confined spaces.

I especially like it how he keeps appearing in Weiss & Hickmans books under different anagrams.

Ugh! As soon as I saw the name Raistlin I KNEW this was gonna happen. I bloody hate those books. (And now someone's gonna kill me, but whatever.)

I've found three versions of him so far (Fizban himself, Zifnab in the Death Gate Cycle, and Zanfib in The Mantle of Kendis-Dai). The authors must really like that character.
