I searched but couldn't find a solution. I just recently reinstalled Arcanum with both official and unofficial patches, Running XP sp3.

Every 20 minutes or so of playing the game I will get this weird graphics blur anytime I try and scroll the screen. Everything on screen kind of sticks in place and blurs if I try and scroll, but things moving of their own accord (guards on patrol, etc) will walk through the bluriness just fine.

I haven't been able to figure out what causes it, and the only way to fix it is but ALT + Tab to return to desktop and when I come back to the game its fixed for a little while.

Is there anyway to fix this or do I just have to keep returning to desktop?

    Thanks for any help.

Are you using -no3d -doublebuffer in the command line for your Arcanum shortcut? If not, I'd recommend trying it.

Also, there is a High Resolution patch for Arcanum. I'd recommend DLing that and using the included .exe and seeing if that .exe side-steps your problem.

Are you running the game as an added Steam shortcut?

It doesn't like Steam overlay very well, and when you open it, it does exactly what you are describing.

It does not like Steam, it does not.

It doesn't like my computer either, since after a while of playing it slows down to near unplayability. :C
