I'm going to buy one or both of these games off Gog.com. Which do you recommend, HoL?

Gothic was a great series... I haven't played Divine Divinity. Tried, but could never get it to run.

Divine Divinity is comparable to a merge between TES:Morrowind and Diablo, this means that it plays slow, has a (little) bit of freedom, has an isometric engine and it can be difficult if you don't up your melee skill.
