I used to read that comic all the time, until the author gave up and died the next day (kinda a coincidince, huh?). Anyone else read this comic while it was still around?
I never really enjoyed peanuts a lot. I quite like snoopy (as a character) but these comics are not too funny. Though I admit sometimes they're great - though it happens rather rarely. I prefer ID Wizard, Garfield and Haggar.
I never read the Peanut comics in the newspapers, but all the Peanuts TV specials were a tradition at my house. My favorite character, besides Snoopy, was that little Irish dude Peppermint Patrick. He was a little tweaker thinking that Snoopy was a boy.
I always thought Peanuts was dumb. Now, Charles Schulz made a lot of money with it, and apparently a lot of people liked it, because of it's popularity and longevity. However, I never thought it was funny in the least. My fav comic was Calvin and Hobbes. Have virtually every book of this comic. I even cut out the last C & H comic ever made, laminated it and hang it in my bedroom. My wife made me take it down.
What a dumb question. C'mon, nbrosz. Frist it was Garfield, then Charlie Brown. Why not just get a Comic Characters thread? Or will your post count suffer? Actually, Charles Schultz died one day before his last comic strip was published. Who in the world was that? I'm a Snoopy fan and I've never heard of him. Peppermint Patty isn't Irish, is she?
That is true! Any ways yeah i used to read them and they were alright. Snoopy popular what?! I say WOODSTOCK is the BEST. But i like Garfield better than peanuts.
