isn't easy, but it's fun. But I found I had to redefine my character because I started with strength just in firearms, which did't even get me out of the crash site since I ran out of bullets and had no melee points. So restarted with firearms and melee evenly split. That helped. Felt sort of guilty leaving Virgil behind. Did use Magnus when I went to see the jewelers so that he could get some resolution. Since I chose magicphobia as a background I do spend a lot of time looking for plants to make cures. Now if I could only find out how to make bullets..... I'm thinking about picking up the Dog. Haven't decided yet. Also building up my pick-pocketing and lock-picking, but that's normal for me. Guess I'm just a thief at heart. Definitely going to be a different game from the ones I've played before. - Edythe
You can buy the "bullets" schematic in almost evry gunshop. or you can always go to the store at night and pick its lock. ...just watch out for guards that may pass by the store.
True, but with my character that has virgil as his only follower there are many other things taking precedence over smithing skills. Don't know about this chap though.
Being diplomatic? You mean talking rather than fighting? Other than the jewelers are there many times when you really get the choice? I know if you have really high pursuation you get to talk to the King of Caladon rather than assinate him but where else does this work? The only other place I can think of off the top of my head is the factory workers, which I have always resolved peaceably. - Edythe [ This Message was edited by: Edythe on 2001-11-10 00:21 ]
What? Does she give you more information or something? Being diplomatic certainly does make levelling a lot harder, but you get all sorts of different quests and ways to resolve them (from what I've heard). Dog is good. Get the dog. Keep the dog happy. My thief is going out with just the dog. Let me tell you, a halfling thief with high strength, a pyrotechnic axe and high backstab and melee is something to fear .
