GOG.com is SHUT DOWN!!

My computer is out of commission, and there was nothing going on anywhere, so I went to check out some old forums. Or rather, only this one.

I'm currently on the other, inferior computer, installing NetHack and Arcanum to entertain my short attention span.

It is only until Tuesday at the most, since I will have my PC back by then. But who knows, I might stick around for longer this time.

 

Check sorcerers.net; I've read an article there several times which stated they'd happily pay the hosting fees if they're happy with your site (of which HoL is one), as I just said.

Will be a bit of a shambles if sorcerers.net ever goes down, though. I have some free webspace (and have had for years, spread over several shared hosts and a VPS I've probably got a hundred or three gigabytes to spare) that could be turned over to that use should we ever need to. Hopefully not and I'd rather not have to, but if it comes down to it I'd rather be hosting the site rather than see it cease to exist all together.

Regardless of what happens, making regular backups of the site (esp. the database) and storing it elsewhere is a necessity.
