i played gnome 1 time, as a mage its because of its hi wp easy to get low level spell in the beginning
I could never do it. I played through the game the first time as a half-ogre, and well... you know. It's sort of like in Fallout. No matter what sort of evil bastard motherfucker I was playing. Berserker, child-killer. Whoremonger. Spouse killer. Didn't faze me. But I could never bring myself to be a slaver.
Yeah, I played a Gnome once, but the racial bonuses just didn't seem to outweigh the penalties. And then there's trying to find armor...so far Human seems to be the best race. Just my opinion, not too many flames, please.
Median races are what I prefer...but the Minutes come a close second. Nice song Feldon...make that up yourself? As for what I can never bring myself to do in Arcanum, I have only been able to bring myself to kill Arbalah once. Call me a softie, but I have real trouble trying to kill him...I did it once, and I didn't like that character anyway.

Actually, I was kidding about the money, but as far as the bitch-slapping goes, your scenario is accurate.
Either that or a diplomat/haggler type...again, because of the willpower bonus, the haggle bonus and bonus to bad reactions.
