Gifs are screwed, please help

I unwisely downloaded an animator from jasc, and after I unistalled it, I found that I could not open my gif images. All is see for the symbol the little microsoft flag. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

 

Well, one way is, when you open it, it should bring up a "choose a program to run this file with" option menu. Select Internet Explorer or Microsoft Paint and tell it to view all files with that program. Or you can do it with whatever program you were using before.

BTW, where did you download it from? You should get something like Jasc Animation Shop to work with Gifs! That is what I use, and it works great! It comes with trial versions of Jasc Paint Shop Pro.
