getting the Stillwater Giant to apear

Browsing though the forum and trying to find how to encounter the Stillwater Giant gave me te awnser that I need to give a elf the fake SG pelt to trigger this event.

Now since I stole him amulet and getting quintara via an other way, I cannot seem to get the whole SG quest to start. Is this only triggered by the "finding quintare" part?

I cannot load a saved game since that would bring me way back into the game.

Has someone any idea how I can trigger the SG quest or how I can find the real SG?

 

I trapped the fake SG but I had to steel the cage since the whole quest quest gets activated by asking Myrth where Quintara is. I tried walking around Stillwater but I didn't get the encounter at all I guess it get activated only by finnishing the quest and not only by the actions

 

I traveld around stillwater on the worldmap. I know it appears there since it tested it on a previous game with the quests all done.

I tried to encounter bunny on the worldmap around stillwater but no luck
I think i'm better of in modding the game.

ATM I'm undating my arcanum.dat files. After some reading I "think" its possible to mod the Stillwater Giant into the game. Here is in a nutshell what I want to do.

1. Undat arcanum.dat files
2. open a location map that I didn't visited in my current saved game
3. Place the SG on the map and save it
4. making game read the modded map (need to do more reading on that)
5. loading the game and visit the modded location to see if SG is there.

pretty easy would it seem, but being new to the arcanum modding scene I have no idea if it might work or not. If someoe knows if this works, please let me know. I don't what to try the impossible.

 

Head to Hardin's pass after speaking to Myrth. Spam F7 before you go, though.

Anyways I put him back by using worldED.

 

Even if you do all of the above I don't think the Stillwater Giant is guaranteed to appear. It's likely that he will, but sometimes he just doesn't.

 

It's a random event. Just keep trying.
