getting out of certain areas?

    I agreed to find a throwing star for some chick in the bar and I can not get to the location on my map. It is telling me that the way is blocked. I can not find any other way to get to it? Anyone?

    Woman who wants star...

    I found this woman as well, but once I had the star I went to check my quest log to find out where she was located, and the quest was no longer there. It had dissapeared. I decided to sell the star, and ignored this quest from that point. I don't remember her being in Black Root though, thought she was somewhere else. Oh well.

    Passage to other lands...

    There are a few areas in the game that you can not get to until you have discovered a pass or method to travel there. For instance, to travel to the wastes you have to have a specific location marked on your map in order to pass into the wastes. I did not get the star until late in the game, so I am assuming that this will be the same for you.
