Geography Lesson on Cumbria

Dernholm is the capitol of Cumbria. What exactly is cumbria, and what other cities are considered Cumbrian? Cumbria isn't outlined or anything on the world map, or I haven't seen it...

Also, I didn't do any quests on the Isle of Despair. I was brought back before I wanted to leave, and guess what, I saved my game when I docked in Ashbury... Is there no way I can save Cumbria now?

Depending on how you handle Praetor's tax collecting quest, Blackroot is part of Cumbria.

 

jinxed, no I didn't do anything. Reason because I went back to the ship captain to see if he was still there, I saw dead bodies lying on the ground and I talked to the ship captain. He then took me back to Ashbury. The dialogue options would not allow me to stay on the Isle of Despair. Why do you ask?

 

what you said sounded like you just landed on the shore, then talked to teach and went back. alot of people ended up like this. without saves.

 

jinxed, do you think I need to start over so I can do all those quests I promised to do on the Isle? Or is it not worth it?

(I am really hating Troika for not putting in an option to return to the isle.) I don't see any sense in that at all. I wanted to go to the outcast women's camp and live as a king amongst the wenches.. :smile:

 

well to tell you the truth, only maximillian is worth anything, and if youre a tech, there was a nice schem. If you want to finish with all cool endings yes start over, but if it won't hurt you by having one little thingy off. then don't

 

Jinxed, what exactly IS Cumbria? The southern half of arcanum, bordered by the mountains in the west, ocean in the east and river to the north? Is this right?

maybe the map was printed in Tarant?
well, the fact is that cumbria has been doing awful as of late, so maybe by some standards after the war with tarant,
by some standards it doesn't exist?

 

What country is Tarant in? Or is there not a "country" per se, for Tarant?

 

there is a united alliance or something like that I don't really know its name.
it consists of tarant and ashbury and possibly other major cities

 

it's called the united kingdom.

 

Oh, well, at least as long as I don't convince the mayor of black root to side with dernholm, they won't become a desolate ghost town like dernholm....since I didn't do the maxmillian quest...
