Gearing up for a second playthrough...

Hey guys. Been meaning to play through this again for the first time and I have some questions:

First, my first playthrough was magic sword wielding elf lady. For number two I'm having visions of a gun-toting mechanical aligned Half-Ogre with a monocle and a top hat with a high intelligence and charisma. I'm thinking I can't do this, because Half-Ogres can't use guns. Right? I know I can't equip a pistol anyway. Is it worth doing if I can't use guns, and just smash stuff? Can the ole' boy build robots and shit?

EDIT: Just found the answer to the above question on the board.

Second, what gameplay mods should I use? I've never used any, and I'm thinking I'll just go to the downloads section and grab everything. Sound like a good idea? I know at the very least I want that thing that ads missing dialogue.

 

If you mix several mods, you might get problems. (bugs, glitches game crashes, whatever)

 

Use only the level 127 patch.

 

The level 127 patch and the cargo hold - it's listed as crghld10.zip in the downloads - seem to get along OK.

 

What about the tiny patchette that fixes Nasrudin's speech about the good old days? That can hardy mess up the game, since it just fixes that particular dialogue.
