    Well, it's like if you have been in contact with radioactive things, or is working on a Nuclear Power Plant. Then you can get the Radio-Flu sometimes.

    I think the correct Swedish term would be "strålskador", which translates to "ray-damage".

    Däremot har jag aldrig hört begreppet radioinfluensa?

    There was an interview in one newspaper about Chernobyl, and woman living there said: "There are Russians, Ukrainians, Tatarians and many other nations, but all of us are one nationality - Radioactive"

    In english it's radiation sickness, perhaps that book's authors are only as proficient as you are in English.

    You really need to brush up on your conjugation, Sofokl, you're fucking killing me trying to understand those sentences.

    A web search came up with 490 listings like this:
    Online Talk Radio Station - Live365 Internet Radio - Flu Talk Radio
    but nothing for radio-flu as a disease.

    I'm fairly certain the population difference was on the same order back in 1700, so I have no fear there as regards the ultimate Swedish conquest of Russia. However, I must confess I forgot about the nukes and stuff, so perhaps we'll go the traditional way after all -- get the Ukrainians on our side...

    In other current matters, The Selecter's On My Radio is about as close to this mysterious radio flu as I've ever come. I didn't even know influenza was supposed to be a symptom of having been irradiated.

    Your "bbok" says it's radio-flu, eh?
    Alright. Influenza is ONLY caused by a virus. Or, several different virii of the orthomyxoviridae family, all of which happen to be known as influenza. The flu can not be caused by radiation, because the last time I checked, a gamma ray is not a type of virus;
    It's a fucking wave of electromagnetic energy. Van Stran, for the sake of your own sanity, put down the bboks and learn things from experience. No form of written information is infallible. Had you ever heard of "radio-flu" before reading it in that cornucopia of knowledge from which you took it?
    I bet you called it radiation sickness just like the rest of us.

    All (almost) med students and doctors have a copy of that book at the hospital.

    Then all is for naught. I regret to inform you that your med school, and indeed the entire medical staff, will be converted*.

    *To radioactive vapor. By me.

    This is why I think it's funny when people insult the AMERICAN educational system. All schools have just about the same problems, it's just that most American's don't spend their energy picking apart other nation's educational failings.
