I suppose we should all have seen it coming once they began selling those cute little robotic dogs.

You better change the avatar on either one of them, because it's TP you are quoting.

I won't change my avatar, I'm too fund of my mushroom. I'll simply let all the credits go to Fish instead.

It's not like it's impossible for you to change it back or anything, it's just that I think we have too few VtMB avatars in use at this joint.

Yeah yeah, I know but I feel honored that you actually spent a few seconds just to change my avatar. Guess a monkey will do.

So anyway, how are things going in the navy? No secret battles with Russian submarines or anything?

Nope. I'm actually part of Sweden's first land based amphibious company. We're the Swedish Marines, except we won't use boats but instead uses APC:s and IFV:s. I'm in the middle of my summer break and will resume my training in two weeks. Then the Specialist Training starts during which I'll learn how to be a Squad Leader or Vice SL over a recoil less rifle squad. We'll see how it goes, but if my officers think I'm fit for the role, then I probably is.

Reading that brief summary of your military service somehow made me sad that I was discharged for being hearing impaired, which in turn reminded me of the fact that I'll most likely require hearing aid once I get older.

Heck, people already comment that I speak too damn loudly. Guess that's just to be expected from a guy who's as deaf as a stone at certain frequencies and whose eardrums in both ears are composed entirely of scar tissue.

I rented the machine girl and it was the best/worst movie ever. I already have "The robot Geisha" on my list. Thanks TP.

I liked having twp mushrooms. Confusion is good.

Nay, I don't think I will rent machine girl, but going to watch this movie: 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' Trailer 2 HD

I always was a fan of GI Joe, so I really hope that this movie is just as cool as the cartoons and comics.

I'm also a big fan of G.I. Joe, even thought I've never actually seen the real one. I'll probably also see the movie too.

Katanas? What about them? Best melee weapon in the world. The way their made. They way they sound. And the way they cut! Oh yes... a perfect weapon for civilized times. It's light so it does help you stay mobile. And it cuts like a surgical blade if not better. Also it's structure (this depends a lot on the smithy who made it) can be extremely durable and at the same time flexible.

The only melee weapons that could have any advantage against a katana would be a long rapier (that could still brake on contact with the Japanese blade unless it very well made so you'd have the advantage of let's say a few more centimeters that you can reach him with before he reaches you) and if you have enough brute strength then I'm guessing a 2 Hander like a greatsword or spear would be enough to hack up someone with a katana. As long as you can doge incomming attacks and prevent him from hacking any wooden perts from your weapon.

Still considering the weight of those great swords a japanese sword would have the advantage. But it wouldn't be as bad as having a gladius or some axe in your hands.

This is where your katana becomes a laughable piece of flimsy metal.

This is where Daikyū (Japanese longbow) makes your walking stove useless.
