I haven't played Arcanum for about 3 months, but I just remembered something I've been meaning to ask for ages - is there anything special in the, quote, "Deserted Village"? There's plenty of kites, and two corpses inside a fairy ring (a ring of mushrooms) - the game also mentions something about hearing voices, I presume the kites. Nothing happended to me - I quicksaved, then killed the kites and looted the bodies, which were inside the fairy ring. I've been thinking something might happen at night, but I can't find my discs...if anyone knows what's up, give me a yell.

(If anyone wants to find it, it's somewhere in the north, along the main river...near the lizard village, I think.)

You mean the Strange Ceremony... or the Secret Village? I thought the secret village was a joke about something, but I've never found anything there...

There is a Secret Village at 1320, 179. It is as Settler describes. I have heard it is a Smruf tribute.

But what, exactly, is the joke?
Is the two corpses a reference to the smurfs somehow?
Is it laid out like the smurf village?

It's not something to do with that book you can read about the explorer who was trying to study the kite language?

Don't know. Way too old for the Smurfs.

That one in the Tarant Library? Title?
