For you Americans, what are you going to do tomorrow for the Fourth of July? I have to go into work and pick up a tech consultant from the airport, then drive him to the office, because (of course) some crucial piece of hardware broke and it's gonna have to be fixed for this weekend. The only upside is that once I'm done, I have that much more incentive to find the nearest object and try to blow it up with a completely unnecessary amount of fireworks. Hopefully others have more exciting plans though. And for you Europeans, I'm sure it's some kind of holiday anyway (*grumble*).
Most people in Sweden did their last day at work and went off on vacation today, so you could imagine the number of beer cans opened this very evening. I have one week left though, since sawmills are usually one week behind the rest of industry.
I'm celebrating in the most stereotypically American way possible: beer and loud, fast race cars at the local speedway. Too bad the ISMAs were cancelled this weekend. But the hobbystocks are always entertaining.
I spent the day eating too much, drinking too much, and sitting too much. I'm miserable this morning.
'Independence Day' as it is known to you fancy northern hemisphere types is merely called 'Friday' down here and we didn't get the day off.
