Forums

How exactly does one get a forum system? Is there a system that works better? Is it something easy to work with? Take phpbb for example, how would i work with it?

What is your porpoise with a forum?

 

Two possibilities:
1. Get a free forum account somewhere (EZBoards, does that still exist?)
2. Get an account on a webserver that supports a scripting language and comes with a database (PHP and MySQL are pretty much the standard for this) and install a free forum system you got somewhere. phpBB is free, well-documented and has bunches of mods and templates available.
