Forum service might be flaky the next 30 mins or so

Right. I wrote a script to import all the old news messages (yes, ALL of them) into our new news database and create comment threads for them on the forum. I probably shouldn't be running this script without more testing, but I'm gonna do it anyway. I'm making a database backup, so don't panic if my script screws up the forum entirely. Leave the panicking to me if that happens, because I'll be doing plenty of it.

 

Awesome. It worked! Also, I would like to hereby claim my position as best gravedigger ever, as I made some shit float to the surface without even posting (or understanding why it floated to the surface). Anyway, Jinxed can clean up that poo, as it seems my stuff worked.

Aww, crud. Jinxed is away right now, to my knowledge, so your faithful mod will try to clean it up as best she can. I'm going to lock them, and hope they go away.

 

No worries, I found the offending database error and am administering a fix right now.

Edit: l33t database fix administered. Shit has been unfloated.

 

I am so reminded of the Golgotha thing, or whatever it was called, from Dogma right now...
