Girl-Cube is in school *sob*, Doom-Cube is large and angry. He shakes his fist and pulled the screen door off its track last week.

In other news, Fish is almost out of the military, and I'm moving to the next state over on Saturday. Oh, and I got a Masters Certification in Microsoft Office. So, that's cool.

Xz, those guys were acting suspiciously. The police interrogated them but came to the conclusion that they had nothing to do with the fires, and now they're being removed from the area as surrepticiously as possible, because if the locals think they did it the buggers are very, very dead.

Good luck with the move Rosie.

Well, they've arrest one of them...

Although it's interesting to note what else they're charging him for....

Also, the boyfriend also told me why arsonists light fires. They need to light fires, like an alcoholic needs alchohol. It's an addiction, and if the arsonist doesn't have somewhere safe to light a fire - a fireplace at home, for instance - they'll simply light one when they find a decent patch of dried kindling.

This is why, when a call to emergency comes in that a fire has started, the emergency staff have been trained to get a full name out of the caller. The arsonist, strangely enough, feels remorse when he lights a fire that he cannot control, and calls emergency when he can't do anything more to control it.

Oh yes, and hello rosenshyne. I've been reading about your awesomeness here.

Yeah, but its because the last time we hanged someone it later turned out he really was innocent.

There's no such thing as innocence, only degrees of guilt.

Why would we want to kill people when we can just stick them in a cell with Chopper Reid for the rest of their miserable little lives?

Yes, but being locked in a very small space with a sexually deprived maniac with no moral compass is far more torturous to the victim and amusing to the onlookers.

Plus, you could be like Texas does with death sentences, and put it on pay per view for profit! :)

Im suprised the nation has raised something like 76 million dollars or something. Mainly because most people dont care or don't earn more than $500 dollars a week.

Actually, we've raised more than $100,000,000 so far, and have numerous other countries and charity events lined up to raise more. *pride* I am very rarely proud to be human, but sometimes I am deeply proud to be Australian.

Yeah last time I decided to check the news was a few days ago and it was in the seventies. Regardless i'm suprised the amount of donations and people who have given their items. I was thinking of donating $20 dollars or something. Probably to make up for the shit like torn clothes and empty bottles of cleaning material and chocolates I have" misplaced" in the local St Vincent de-Paul over the past few years.

Why are we even bothering to raise money? remember the 42 BILLION DOLLAR surplus package? Bam, problem solved, the entire areas economy will be boosted for years with the rebuilding efforts, the building of houses and infrastructure, the procurement of materials, employing the local displaced populace as labour for the reconstruction efforts.

Yes the fires are bad, but we can give the entire Victorian economy a massive boost if we only give the money to people who actually need it rather than people on the dole.

And thinking conservatively, why not chop up the dole bludgers, cryvack or dry them out and send down there. Food solved, money solved.

Yeah, I'm staying well away from this aspect of the thread, because I will get all rabid and hissy and you guys really don't want to see me all worked up over politics.

I'm just saying the government wants to give away a big pile of money so logically the people who are most in need at this time (the fire victims down south in Vic and the flood victims up north in Qld) should be given first priority to benefit from the cash.

But if the government is giving away money wouldn't it be more fair to share it equally amongst all the citizens?

And the two of you have just perfectly illustrated why I don't get involved in political discussions of any kind. (Unless it's a Dubya-bashing session, I'm all up for that.)
