what do u mean without getting killed....

 

I mean there are Orc bandits at the entrance to The Boil. They may attack you on sight.

 

You cannot alway go by how muck damage than gun does take the rifled cannon it only does 10-30
damage but it ignores target resistances, which mean it you are fighting than monster which your
regerate weapon arenot hurt you need to use rifled cannon, that why I carry different type of guns and melee weapons.

what does the rifled canon require?A repeater rifle and...but is it good enough for high lvl monsters?

 

i suggest you do them your self and try to find out if it suits your style

 

Against monster with hight damage resit. than gun which ingore damage resit is better than one that cannot ignore DR. Let say creature
x have than DR of 100 where any gun that does 100 or less point of damage the creatue ingore it. I fired than gun that ignore the DR than does 10 point of damages to the creature. I might be wrong about how DR work. I have than paper and pencil RPG where plate armor and platemail armour where my damage by than dagger not even the wearer.
