Followers who've fallen behind in levels

I picked up Gar a bit later than I should have, apparently. I had thought if I leveled up he would gain a bunch of levels. Nope.

Since followers only level up when you do, that also means he won't be catching up anytime soon. Ugh.

So, what is the in-game, legal solution to this problem? Is there one? I can't imagine the developers would have been that shortsighted..

 

No legal solution to make followers gain levels faster. If you are patched, they will eventually reach 50 if you keep gaining levels after you reach 50. You won't get any CPs for the levels you gain, but your followers will.

thats one of the reasons I have started so many times. I now have a lvl 28 party of 10 followers. the only one not 28 is jormand who I thought I saw was lvl 30 but he turns out to be lvl 20!

How do you get to qintarra by lvl 19? I guess not doing any side quests!

Get the location for the pass and qintarra when you are not level 20 yet and you can get there. 0_0
You don't need to do any quest to get there

 

Restart your game and get them when they are the same level as you lol
followers that say you are not experence enough e.g. not high enough level
can join if you are just 1 less level than them you don't have to be the same level or higher level than them for them to join you.

 

so you saying I just go to stillwater and do the blue bunny thing to get the location of the pass? I don't have to follow the BMC, Isle and wheel quests first?

Thats would make me get jormand after chukka and before Thorvald. I guess I load a saved game after getting chukka and redo.

I'm pretty sure Myrth isn't in Stillwater if you go there early, but you can force the pass location and then travel to Qintarra's location to force that. Raven won't be in Qintarra at that point though, or she won't talk to you, I forget which.

It's not cheating, it's exploring. Hell, you wouldn't even find a good number of Gods Quest altars if you didn't go exploring for them.

 

Yeah but if you know its there thats not exploring and I would like to find someone that found the pass that way!

Is is really cheating if your character has visions of a particular location and then goes there? Where those visions may come from, I don't know, but it's certainly a possibility.

For your character, it's exploring. If it makes you feel better, throw away your location list and zig-zag the world map for a weekend. Sucks the fun right outta the game, let me tell you.

Yeeessssss, that is true. I remember in a recent game I never picked up poppies, then when I maxed herbology and I actually NEEDED the damned things I didn't have any! Oh the sorrow, oh the heartache!

You're missing the whole point of this thread! Find the pass and qintarra, without knowing locations, just exploring...... all by lvl 19!

If you have already played the game you know where everything is without knowing the location and if you want to find a place yourself don't pay any attention when i say where it is. :roll:

When i first played arcanum i found hardins pass when i just got the black mountain clan quest and i was looking around that area.
and also found Qintarra and got that magic Dwarf then i went back and finished the black mountain clan quest. :razz:
