Finding magic gear?

I am looking for a magic blacksmith, or a decent location to find magic armor and weapons for my character, does anyone have any suggestions. I thought there was a magic blacksmith in Tarant, but can't think of where he is, some help?

Also, where are some good places to go to fight and gain experience towards Char. Pts.?

I just started Arcanum and I am trying to level up my guy just to survive, any suggestions are appreciated.

There is a Magickal Smithy shop in Tarant, IIRC. I think if you follow the main street northish (up) after entering Tarant, and go over the bridge, the shop is to your left. They sell different kinds of magickal items.

Early in the game, you can wander the ouskirts of Shrouded Hills and find a few wolves actually in the fields of the town. Around the crash site, wander everywhere and kill everything. If you're strong enough, you can skip the world map and take the long way to Shrouded Hills. Lots of wolves to kill, but be careful..."these wolves are none too friendly".

I found the location of the shop I was looking for on a tip site through neoseekers.
The Magic Blacksmith is located at 23 Desaille Terrace in the NW of town. He has some good items for sale if you are of magic apptitude.
