Just one of the legion reasons I don't take long walks, right behind I have a car and right before my general distaste for physical activity.

 

Two pairs of Magnum heavy-duty work boots (one pair for outside, one pair for inside). Slip resistant soles, and the boot itself prevents you from rolling and damaging your ankles. Good stuff.
One pair of running sneakers, one pair of cross-trainers, one pair of Timberland winter boots with gore-tex. All of my shoes are size 15, so it means I really have to make sure I like the shoe before I buy it. Shoes in that size are NOT CHEAP, and I definitely need a type of shoe for everything.

 

I'm amazed about all these fellas with their number of shoes! Ya'll are more girly than I am!

1 pair of white sneakers I have worn once because they were required for my brother's (very casual) wedding.

 

I have lots of shoes, myself (over twenty pairs at last count). No stilettoes, though - fuck those things, seriously. I have two or three pairs of shoes (the most formal ones) with discernable heels, but they are rather lower than an average high-heeled shoe and the heels are rather wide. And even then I only wear them for formal parties and hate walking in them. The rest of my shoes are all flat (except a pair with platform soles, but even those are better than heels...) I really don't understand how people can wear those monstrosities regularly without anyone forcing them to...

 

Stiletto heels aren't meant for walking, they're meant for sex. They should never touch the ground and should always be held as high as the girl wearing them can.

 

You do know that heels were invented for men, not women, and that men were the first to wear stilettos to hide a real stiletto in the heel?

Um... they didn't have springs back then... or at least ones that tiny.... A stiletto is a small, thin and very fine blade, that was mostly used for stabbing, as opposed to slicing.

There have been many reports about women accidentally killing people by walking over them in thier stilettos. 'Real' stiletto shoes have a heel area usually smaller than an inch square.

 

My sister almost broke her ankle wearing full-on 'whore' stilettos. I almost puked, I was laughing so hard.
