I have it sitting here in front of me, I want to install it but I have a mountain of university work that I can't even begin to describe that would allow you to feel my pain. Anyone else touched it yet?
I heard its got more bugs than 3 had but its still good. Guess I'll find out in a couple of days, or maybe tonight if I just lose my self control.
It got a rather negative review in today's paper. They mentioned the bugs, but also things like out-dated graphics, life-less characters and a boring landscape. I guess if you like Fallout 3 then you'll like this one too, as long as you don't mind your game shutting down every 3 hours or so.
You gotta laugh at the landscape remake, what do they expect? Grass and trees? edit: So I completed two assignments and thought I'd treat myself for my hard work. No problems with installation, played for just under an hour, got through the tutorial part, different to fallout 3's beginning, sort of more like 2. So far it is enjoyable, story hasn't really started yet but the background the NPCs have been telling me sounds compelling. Hopefully with a few more hours under my belt I can make a proper judgment call however so far so good.
I haven't encountered any bugs at all. If I have, I haven't noticed them. I've crashed twice since installing, with a playtime of little over eight hours.
I get 2 fps (literally, using FRAPS) whenever I talk to or even look in the general direction of an NPC. The game runs very smoothly otherwise and has no problems with non-human enemies.
Sounds like people are suffering from different types of bugs meaning your experience will be unique to you. So far I haven't encountered any bugs and installation was smooth which for me was surprising due to it being through steam. edit: So I have completed the main storyline now and I have to say, I'm going to have to do at least 3 more playthroughs for the storyline itself not to mention traveling around to explore everything. Shame about the bugs but then that is a Bethseda specialty.
