After picking the game up again, I've gotten stuck. Right now, I'm supposed to get acces to vault 15 for NCR, and find out where vault 13 is.
First of all, I have no idea how to "get access" to vault 15. I've gone inside it and down to the 3rd floor (not killing Darion) and returning and getting no kind of ackknoledgement.

I've also heard that I should go see the westin guy because saltbeef or whatever his name is has a map to vault 13. But I can't seem to get past that laser field. I've also tried to take out Darion and all his people (and dog) but I always get killed, even with psycho and stim packs.

    Anyways around this?

You have to use one of the computers in Vault 15. Bottom level, towards the right side of the map is a room full of computers, one of them gives you the location of the real Vault 13.

Also, if you're dieing, try a Sniper Rifle to the head. Kills 'em dead. Actually, you might need better armour as well as a higher gun skill.

It's a good idea to kill Darion CtOfDiscord - that 6k of XP really helps at that stage. Personally I usually stand in the doorway with a bozar and pull back a little each turn, drawing his men in closer so that I do even more damage. Problem solved, fight won, lotsa money for me.

Getting past the laser gates is tricky. I'm not sure how to do it properly, so the one time I managed to do it I killed the guard and got Vic to repair the gate till he brought it down. You might have to try this several times so the people inside don't kill you. I'd like to try and become a made man for the Bishop family, but his quests are just too damn hard.

You have to accept a quest to kill Westin in order to be let in. You get that quest from a gangster in New Reno (the one with slut wife and daughter). When you have this quest you get a dialog option which will convince the guard to let you in.

Kill guard and repair laser field up till you get it down is a good idea were it not for the fact that you have to kill that guard.

The simplest way to get to Westin's ranch is to talk to the Sheriff Dumont (or what's-his-name). He's the cop standing in center of town on a street corner. Ask him about a job and he'll tell you about Westin. Tell the guard and he'll let you in.

As for Darion, psycho and jet helps alot. Apart from that, positioning is what's important here. The goons who fight with their fists can be used as cannon fodder if you place yourself behind them, as can any followers you don't mind loosing.

Thanks for the help. I tried taking out the slavers in NCR by using jet and psycho (tried lurning a few away, taking them out, resting, and going for the others) but I get addicted very easily. I guess I'll get some skill points in heavy weapons and all that so I can start kicking ass instead of talking and whorring my way out of everything (which actually doesn't work too bad...)

Get a bozar from the guards that guards the weapons dealer outside of NCR, there is a combat armor somwhere in vault 15. Equip those get your hands on some stims and suddenly killing of darion is not so hard. If you do not make it with that a trip to san fran is recomended. There is a weapon dealer who sells almost any weapon there. go into the city then take first streat to the right. if you need money walk around sanfran and watch some hubologists kill of some raiders the hubologists has a lot of nice weapons wich you can earn a lot of money on. then when you have a power armor go back to NCR and :minigun: darion.

I almost always choose Chem resistant as a trait. Otherwise it's just too easy to get addicted. Especially when you use Psycho and Buffout.

I bought both 1 and 2 at wal-mart for 12 bucks. The only better deal I've had on a game was a few yeras ago when I bought Warcraft: Orcs and Humans for 4 bucks (!!! :D !!!) at Sams Club.

I don't think you can buy them seperate anymore... except maybe off of ebay.

And thank you all for the help, I can't beleive what happened at vault 13. That is just insane.

Pansy ass drug users :). A REAL Chosen One doesn't need drugs - he just kicks ass au naturelle. Personally, I kill Eldridge (the weapons dealer in New Reno) because who can be bothered waiting for the good stuff? Murder is built into the game...it also stops you having to barter for that voice module :).

I never used drugs, either. In the game, that is.

And, like Jar, I always killed the arms dealer in New Reno. The game practically begs you to do it. In just about every Fallout 2 game I played, I made a habit of killing Frick in The Den to give me some much needed weapons/armor/sellables and Eldritch in New Reno as soon as I got to them. The stuff they have in their inventory compared to the worth of their lives is just too great at that point in the game.

Piss-ant little drug-users. Only drugs I ever use is RadX and RadAway when necessary.

Ohh... We're talking about in the game? Ohhh...

I'm with Milo. Only weapons dealer I ever kill is that first guy you meet in the den in FO2. That Frick guy that talks like a retard. It's just for the magnum. Blessed magnum.

Then I usually kill all the children. Thieving bastards. SUCK ON THE RESULT OF YOUR EVIL STEALY-NESS!!

I only really used RadX and Radaway too. BTW, I thought psycho had no side effects? I never got addicted no matter how much I used it, or was I just lucky?

I always stayed away from the drugs, except RadAway and RadX. Their monetary value versus their character value just wasn't worth it.

As for the arms dealers, always. What's the point of paying when you can get it ALL... for the cost of a few bullets?
    :p

Yeah...I like killing Flick. He talks funny, and insulting him until he attacks is a halfway-decent excuse to kill him. I usually prefer executioner style - headshots with a 10mm pistol :D.

I would love to be able to kill those kids without having to take out the entire town. My brother claims he caught one of them pickpocketing him once and wasted him, but everyone always goes after you, so...Ditto with the jet heads who attack you for no reason. Why do the guards go after you?

How to kill the kids in the Den.
    1. Get your hand on some timed bomb preferably c-4.
    2. Drop evrything out of your inventory exept for one of the timed bombs.
    3. Activate the bomb and set the timer about 30 seconds.
    4. Walk up to the kids and stand/walk next to them
    5. check your inventory after a while you will find that the bomb is missing.
    6. Walk away and enjoy the show.
PS. this method even if it is difficult makes it possibole to kill those small shits without affecting your alligment.

Anyway, anyone know how to join the raiders in the raider camp?
Even when I had an allignment of -600, they would still cal me the Do-gooder of the wastes.....odd.

Just go and waste some town nobody cares about, like klamath or the den (after you get the car).

Anyway, I would kill eldridge but I really want the sniper rifle which I heard he eventually gets. I also read somebody named Karla(?) in v15 would have one, but I couldnt find her.
