Burr bowed and then held out his hand to greet Kalinka. He was getting nervous, and he didn't like this place at all. And the thing about being dead wasn't the best thing yet, either.

"Nice ter meet you there, missy. So... Uh... Do you know why we're here, exactly, 'spite the fact that we're dead. I, meself, thought that.. well... it all went pitch black or somethin'..."

Kalinka nervous reaches out and grips Burr's hand gently.

"I... this is the sea of souls... we should be IN the sea, but... something must have kept us back. Unfinished business usually..."

"Please!" Hold insisted to his new found companions. "We should get out of here, the sky is fading!" The ground started to tremble and quake. A rotted hand burst out from the white sand. Wherever it touched the sand went blood red. More hands began to uproot around the adventurers. The creature began to emerge. They looked almost human. They had clouded silver eyes that glowed from behind long rotten robes. Their other hands seemed perfectly fine. Long blades talons jutted from their feet. A pair of long black feathered wings streched out behind them. They each wielded an enourmous scythe. "Ssss Ravens of Hate!" the voice spat. "RUN! And don't let their rotten hands touch you!" Without another hesitation Hold ran for the earthern mound and began to scramble up it. Throngs of the Ravens were sprouting up all over the place. He noticed that someone had become struck by the ravens hand but he was too far away to see who.

Their bodys began to twist and change. They too had become a raven of hate. "In the name of hate lord let the dead remain dead!" a cold whisper echoed in their head.

Burr reacted instinctivly with a swift kick to one of the raven's knees, causing it to trip, and then a powerful punch followed, straight in the Ravens face. The raven flew out in the water and remained there, blood pouring from it's mutilated face. After taking at least one of them out, Burr felt that he could retreat over the earthly mounds and did so.
