...ever talked to a Courteous Slitherer in the Gaslight?

Version 1.0.74. Funny, I must say.

 

How in the world...????

Ok, I've come across courteous monsters before, but they never talked.

 

No one of you have encountered the bug that lets you "talk" to monsters, even if they don't see you ?

 

Nope! I didn't know it was possible without hacking the game.

 

Those monsters should all be "mute" flagged, shouldn't they? Maybe some aren't?

 

Well, obviously it would have been Neutral if not for the Smoking Jacket my sorceror usually wears

The location is Tarant Sewers somewhere, a 10+ Level character. Of course the monster did attack when I went through the passage.

 

I've had this happen a few times. Sometimes they are quite well spoken. Occasionally they even ignore me.
