I decided to try and play around with the guns last night. I put a CP into firearms and had DOC apprentice me. I went and bought a good flintlock and all the bullets I could get, but when I went to equip the gun I'm told it's an unequipable item. If I give the gun to Virg, he makes use of it without any problems. How come I'm unable to make use of the gun? I've got a half-ogre and does a larger character need a different type of gun?
Half-Ogres can't use pistols because they're too small, you'll need to get a rifle instead. Don't think there are (m)any rifles in the demo though.
I just stuck one point there so I could apprentice in firearms. Since I, being a half-ogre, can't use pistols, I forged myself a balanced sword. That is a nice weapon. I want to try and turn it into a charged sword if I can get a hold of the schematic for it. That will be a nasty item.
To make the charged sword one only needs a capacitor and a balanced sword. I have one of each, but my intelligence is too low. I need to bump it up to a 15 from 12 before I can learn the schematic. I'll give it a try once I get there and see how it works if it can be done.
Did you know you probably would'nt be able to get enough cps to be able to get enough stats to make a charged sword in the demo and you need a LARGE capaciter not a normal capaciter to make a charged sword And where are you going to find the schematic for it? (this is asuming of course you American/russian/mexican/Phillipino/English bastardos havn't got the full game or a reasonable faci simile)
lol amos like I said i don't think you could make it in the demo, alot of tech is unavailible in teh demo
I've got my half-ogre setup with enough stat points to be able to make it. He's at lvl 47. It would be just a matter of getting a hold of the schemie for it. By the sounds of it you can't so I will just keep using my balanced sword. It seems to cause enough grief. _________________ If it's good for you, put it away and try something else instead. [ This Message was edited by: Blunder on 2001-06-01 12:34 ]
Once again I ask does everyone have the full version except me or is everyone a beta tester except me?
It is a need to know basis, and you dont need to know... OK! Head up the river and run around it out on the plain, while traveling the normal map. Once out on the plain you can travel with worldmap and meet as many random encounters as you can stomach.
you can also cheat to make it so high, just go to the article part of TA, and read the hex page. its good for the demo, as you can try out powerfull schematics, and spells. well if you can find the parts for the schematics that is.
No MP it wasn't cheating. That is thru legit playing. It took about a week and four hours a day to get there. I can send a save game somewhere if you would like and you can check it out. Once I was between lvl 15-20, I could handle most things except for the wererats. Once I was between lvl 25-30 then even those weren't much of a problem. It was funny, being that high of a level (about 44 at the time) I was getting cocky thinking that not too much is going to hurt me now. I then come across one encounter with some guardian snakes and an elemental snake. That hurt. Thank goodness for restore.
