I wish we had more delicious racially discriminatory food here in the UK, sadly none springs to mind.

Moorkop? My last name is derived from the word Moor or More, and both refer to someone dark, or in the case of More, also any dark cloth.
However, I looked into it, and it looks like while it's not the original name, it's both a diminutive of the original and also spelled exactly like the original's predecessor. It used to be called a morenkop. Now, kop is spelled like kopf, which is the German word for head. Given the similarities of Danish and German, I can guess it's a cognate. Also, given the meaning of the preceding word, I can assume the name of the dessert can be literally defined as "a black man's head." So, we've got negro kisses and a black man's head, both popular desserts. The thing about the moorkop, however, is that any time the word moor was used, it was a term of endearment. This would mean there shouldn't be anything offensive about the dessert, unless one gets the wrong idea and assumes all black men's heads taste that good. Well, depending on your meaning of "head..."

Well, considering an actual morenkop is apparently the stone head of a black man that would be hung above a pharmacy, it would appear that it's a morenkop in name only, and obviously referred to the head with bones in it. Not the bone with a head on it. Regardless, my last name implies I'm black by popular demand.

Do you know the liquorice confection to which I'm referring? Do you know what it's called?

It doesn't matter; stroopwafels are where it's at anyway.
Isn't the UK conspicuously lacking in delicious food of the non-racist variety as well?

In the UK, Giant Spotted Dick is apparently a delicious dessert that also sounds like a diseased organ, but I don't believe it's offensive to anyone unless they refer to their penis as a dick, and coincidentally it's huge and has spots.
In America, many people I know will call cocktail weiners wrapped in dough (pigs in a blanket) "puppy dicks" because of how they look. I think its because they like to imagine that's what they're eating, and as a result I can't touch them.

The Yorkie is rather nice, I notice it tells you to keep it away from women on the actual packaging. Take what you will from that.

14 hours later, and nobody has picked up on this?

I am very disappointed. (That's what SHE said!)

Smuel: Yeah. It must be hard to swallow that it exist out of foam as well, right? :D

TDC: You do not like stroopwafels?

There is also a very old song about a Moor in Dutch. (I am not sure how to translate this)

    Mooriantje zo zwart als roet
    Ging eens wandelen zonder hoed
De zon scheen op zijn bolletje
    Daarom droeg hij een parasoletje.

You probably all know this that the Moors (who lived in the south of Spain) were brown and/or black.

Hey woah, we have pot noodles, pies in a can and spam fritters; so you'd better watch what you say about British food not being delicious when clearly there is so much evidence that shows otherwise!

    Consider me offended.
