The desire for that all important next avatar or custom avatar is, in my opinion, the driving force behind the plethora of nonsensical posting. Eliminate that junkie-like need and watch the post count drop. Don't get me wrong, avatar's are cool, but take the control away from the abusive idiots and award new avatars based on responsible forum self representation. In doing so I believe you can create a community of authors any moderator would be proud of. And maybe save some of those promising writers who have been led astray.
how about this instead we can all have our own custom avatars no matter who or what status as long as they can host their avatars
I have to agree with Darkwalker on this one - boards with ranks like this tend to get spammy for that very reason. But, on the other hand, it does give T-A some unique character that many other boards lack (well, certain unnamed posters give it unique character too, but that's beside the point). Maybe lower the settings for the avatar ranks and allow custom avatars sooner?
No. That has already taken place. It seems Darkwalker as you have appointed yourself The Anti-Spam Crusader of the board. Not that I mind or anything... Any ways, people responsible for spamming will face certain restrictions and or unpleasant avatars/ranks. The war against spam at HOL has just began.
