Hi ! Yeah I know, another question... On the web I found invensource, which is pretty useful for schematics (they're all together each day in the shops' chests). I wondered if there is a way to modify your own inventory to start with, say, a large bore wendigrothian rifle and a Schreck's Multi Barelled pistol (you know? The schematic you can't even learn... ) :xoldrop: (Yeah I know schreck's isn't the best gun at all, but I will be glad to posess a unique gun. When I discovered that Thorndop, the coward and pathetic crying gun master, had the same looking glass rifle than me, I just stole his and used it to create a long range pistol ) :thinkof: Is there a way to modify your inventory in a save file?
You may want to try the method I've described in this thread: http://terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16490
There's no way to edit an inventory in a save file? I believe that you can hex edit your inventory, as well as you can edit your character : http://www.wireframeink.50megs.com/hex_edit_arcanum.htm but because I'm such a noob in hex editing, I simply lack the knowledge to find the part of the save file containing the inventory. Your method is good, thanks, but works only when you start a new game :/
Hex editing your character's stats is (relatively) straightforward (the same format as proto/mobile), but I've no idea how the inventory is stored inside a save file. It's probably too complicated to bother. Anyway, you can also add items to merchants' inventories mid-game. See rules\InvenSource.mes.
Yeah I saw the invensource. But I need help : what's the number designes as percentage? I don't understand. For example I've got : {1}{General Store Rural: 2000,1500 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,11141 2000,11068 2000,11068 2000,11068 2000,11123 2000,11123 2000,7041 2000,7041 2000,7041 2000,7041 2000,15179 2000,15179 2000,10059 2000,10060 2000,10060 2000,10059 2000,10059 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10074 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10135 2000,10136 2000,10134 2000,10137 2000,10137 2000,15147 2000,15141 2000,10107 2000,10130 2000,10109 2000,15145 2000,10127 2000,10129 2000,10110 2000,10108 2000,10131 2000,6029 2000,6030 2000,6080 2000,6082 2000,6097 2000,6037 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7038 2000,7038 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,7039 2000,8042 2000,8058 2000,8070 2000,8078 2000,8110 2000,8118 2000,8091 2000,8099 2000,8102 2000,8094 2000,8117 2000,8125 2000,8142 2000,8190 2000,8051 2000,8184 2000,8056 2000,8169 2000,8170 2000,8172 2000,10063 2000,10082 2000,10088 2000,10068 2000,10092 2000,10093 2000,10067 2000,10094 2000,10095 2000,10096 2000,10072 2000,10101 2000,10093 2000,10102 2000,10104 2000,10105 2000,10071 2000,10058 2000,10057 2000,15111 2000,15072 2000,15089 2000,15126 2000,6164 2000,15144 2000,15144 2000,15138 2000,15138 2000,13061 2000,15179 2000,15160 2000,15183 2000,15182 2000,15184 2000,15186 2000,15187 2000,15201 2000,15202, 2000,15203} Here it is 2000 anywhere... What does that mean? And why for instance the 7039 is repeated so much times?
Where did you get that version? It's not the original. Anyway, the format is: percentage, prototype 100 is enough for percentage. Some items (usually ammo) are repeated several times for larger quantity. Oh, and the very first two numbers denote money. E.g. 10,50 means that a character will have 10 to 50 gold on him/her.
Yeah I know, I've dl another invensource some time ago. Still, I tried to modify the starting barter so that he could sell rifles such as the wendigrothian large bore, but when I create a new game there's no items at all in the shopkeeper's inventory ! Perhaps wendigrothian items make this appear, because merchants aren't supposed to sell them...
Yep I know what's wrong : a space instead of a comma Yeah ! I have also created a "Wendigrothian survivor" background, starting with a large bore rifle and a reanimator, but -1 CN (due to all the things the poor wendrigothian's body has taken during the cataclysm ^^) Thanks alot again Drog !
