Hi, I've been away a while... I really just reinstall this game when I get nostalgic and tired of all the Fallout 3-type games that like glamour and glitz over gameplay and plot. Arcanum was, and always will be, the best. I have been looking today for something that I believe it was Drogg who imlpemented/found. There was an integral debug system within the game, and he wrote an EXE to easily access it. You ran the game, minimized, loaded the EXE, and then once in the game you could use keys such as ` to give yourself character points, full health, etc. I cannot find this. If what I read from the few threads I glanced at, Drogg no longer posts here as himself (a loss to the Arcanum playing community, to be sure), otherwise I would have PMd him. I cannot find the download for this on the download page though. I had to come back on here because the external harddrive which I had with all my Most Holy of Holies (i,e, Arcanum Mods) fried. Can someone help me out with this, please? I just need the download link, or you can email it to me directly. throwawayemail3@yahoo.com P.S. We love you Drogg.
I guess that you mean CheatModeEnabler, which can be found here: http://www.terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/view ... hp?t=15185 Download link is dead, perhaps someone else here still have it and will be able to upload it for you.
You should've scrolled down just a couple of posts: rroyo uploaded his copy to Rapidshare. http://rapidshare.com/files/298584598/ArcanumCheatModeEnabler.zip
I cease unendingly to be amazed by the prompt and helpful nature of this community. Thank you all so much! I have been playing this for a little while again (Oh Arcanum, my one true love, have I missed you so), but something tickled my fancy... In the initial magic chest, by the Kite Shaman, I got the least loot I have ever had, in all my tens of times playing the game through... 32 gold. Yep. I got 32 gold from the awesome magical chest. Bastards. Thank you all for the help! This will make my gameplay significantly easier... I can just cheat to get myself to Tarant and skilled quickly, then I can play the game normally. Thanks!
Oh snap! It's a Drog! (Edit: Interesting filter you guys have here) So you're still around? Forget your password or something? I have to say, between you and a few others (chrisbeddoes and rroyo are another two who come to mind immediately) you guys utterly changed what Arcanum means to me. I mean, a great game is a great game, but I don't still install Diablo 2 every once in a while, to play on Battlenet, you know? Or even Fallout and Fallout 2, which rank as #3 and #2 on my personal best games of all time list, respectively. I've never been a real part of this forum community, though I've had various profiles as I'll log in every couple years, post a few times, and completely forget all login information (I was KNJoe before I was BlankSpace)... But it's because of you guys and this forum that I still play Arcanum, I think. It's because I can always have at least some semblance of new content when I start itching to see it. Besides it being a comprehensive source with a bunch of really, really helpful people, it's also simply incredible that so many people (especially you) put so much work into something that appeals to such a tight group. I'll be playing Arcanum until it's incompatible with Windows... And then I'm going to put XP on a computer and never ever, ever update it. And hopefully, by the time I forget what Arcanum is, Terra Arcanum will still be here to greet me with open arms every year or so that I get completely nostalgic, and reinstall Arcanum to waste a couple hundreds of hours a way over a few weeks. Thank you Terra Arcanum. And thank you, Drog, and all other modders here. Without you, too few of us would still play this terrific game.
