I heard that 1 and 2 were much better, with 3 being more of a money spin than anything else.

You heard that from me, via my crappy half-arsed review at CC that I only did because I was supposed to be the Entertainment Mod among other things.

But yeah, I liked 1 and thought that 2 was the best. 3 was just fight scene after fight scene with the odd CG shot or picture of Wolverine.

All of the movies were missing Wolverine's freakishly awesome yellow and blue costume with the pointed mask and his constant physical fighting with that pussy cyclops.
Hopefully they are through with the movies now. I was a big fan of one and two, haven't seen three but im sure another will be just pathetic. What else could you base the movie on that would sell well?

I thought that three was awesome! Albeit, not nearly as cool as one or two.
Some of the dialogue seemed...forced. Like "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch!" I think this may have been ripped straight from the web phenomena I pointed you all to in my Juggernaut thread. That, and what Shadowcat said in response to The Juggernaut.
The only character who can really curse without any threat of seeming asinine would be Wolverine. I have to admit, I would've liked to see his classic blue and yellow complete with the wicked mask he wears.
Really, I can't say what a fourth (dear god no) would be based on without ruining the third for you, Telcontar. I think if they had a movie with Proteus as the main bad guy (Moira McTaggart's son), it would be awesome. His power warps reality, and he's able to eat people's lives! He killed one of Multi Man's copies, thus killing a part of Multi Man, nearly killed Storm by trapping her in crystallized oxygen, and is just a major menace to everyone he touches or sees.

I think they should have focused less on Miss Uber-Mutant and more on the little guys. I find it more entertaining watching a few guys with only slightly superhuman powers using what rescources they have against greater numbers. Also, Iceman should ditch Rogue for the chick what walks through walls.

I thought X2 was pretty empty, just a lot of people and mutants standing around in between things blowing up. I wasn't a big fan of the first two but I thought they were better. Then again, I don't really care, since what I'm really waiting for is Pirates 2.

Since they won't necessarily be called "X-Men: Magneto-baby" and "X-Men: When Wolvie was in Canada" it's not going to bug me. I thought the Wolverine movie was supposed to come out before X Men 2, considering Logan had left after the first movie. I had no idea there would be a Magneto movie.
An Onslaught premise would be awesome...but it would have to be an all-encompassing movie. Everyone fought Onslaught. Everyone. I think they even went crazy and brought in Image and DC comic characters to fight, because of how Onslaught was manipulating Franklin Richards to make a whole new universe.
Before all that happens, however, the Professor needs to come back from wherever he was sent by...
I think it should involve him fighting the Shadow King to get back. That would be awesome.

The only good mutant is a dead mutant, goddamnit!

Well, Mystique made the first two movies worth a look. It's a friggin' shame she only has such a minor role in the third one and actually stops being a mutant altogether. Although, as a human she is goddamn hot. Those five seconds you see her lying naked on the ground are the best of the whole movie.

Now I've got to see that movie!

Hey Quincy, you do know that the second Pirates movie is a little racier that the first, don't you?

    It rated "Aaarrrrrr!"

On of my friends landed a bit part in that movie. Lately he's been walking around with a stack of hundreds, just buying crap.

Good for him. All I got from my split-second of movie time was a sunburn and a luke-warm Pepsi. (Really)

He was one of the re-occurring extras from the sea monster-pirate crew.
    What movie were you in?

It was a 1979 movie called Big Man on Campus. Filmed at Arizona State University during the summer of 1978. I was one of the extras in the bleachers for the big swim match.

    However....

Even though I was able to choose a location that I thought I would easily be seen from, I'll be damned if everything but half my left arm got chopped out.

Just as the second diver straightens out to enter the water, there is a five frame section where you can see a blue t-shirt sleeve and about half of my left arm. I had sat right where they trimmed the scene!

Like I said: My split-second of movie time.

    Was Rodney Dangerfield in it?
Oddly enough, I know I've seen that movie, but when I do a search, all I come up with is "Big Man on Campus" 1989; A retelling of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

No surprise there. It was, at best, a B-grade collage movie. It had a brief run in the second-string theaters, then HBO, and then vanished. Back in the mid-eighties, I did have a Beta tape copy I had recorded from HBO. Of course, it too is long gone.

I'm trying to remember who was in that movie, but it's been too long. Sorry.

No Rodney, that much I'm sure of. He was in another collage movie that came out at the end of the eighties.

It's just another of a hundred million other flicks that have been made and are now rotting away somewhere. For example: Anyone remember a movie called "Those Rotten Cotton-Pickin' Chicken Pickers"? 1971 (I think)
Us kids drove our parents nuts for weeks singing the theme song.

Mwahahahaha! I can top you all!

Guess who played a pissed-off Rohan in the third LOTR film? I was over in NZ for a month-long music tour and I had a few days off so I went horse-riding with my pen-pal. One of the casting crew was there on the day, so my HUGE pen-pal (He's 6'3"!) and I are two of the 500 horseriders who charge against the orcs during the Battle of Minas Tirith.

Keep an eye open, during one of the shots of Eowyn and Merry you catch a vague glimpse of me - or to be more accurate, a heavily-armoured Rohan with a fringe of dark hair peeking out from beneath their helmet. Still, I got paid enough to spent a week in Sydney when I got back to Australia.
