Does Chapeau of Magnetic inversion need charges?

    The Chapeau supposedly "requires charges". But I've noticed that DR+20 effect of the Chapeau has its effect regardless to whether or not you have charges. So... are the charges even needed?

    I've realised the same thing Solaris .... maybe its some sort of bug ? :roll:

    The one you get from Liam's mom is bugged. It uses no charges. The ones you build do use charges. They both protect as advertised. This can be a bit confusing if you make your own.

    Are you sure? I'm do believe that even when I make the Chapeau on my own, it doesnt need charges to run.

    I made my own, gave it to Sebastian and didn't give him a single charge. It works. Must be an unpatched game thing.

    The idleing graphic mode uses no charges. When it displays the force field graphic in combat is when it uses batteries. Had Thorvald with Dwarven Chain & a CoMI. He used more charges than Janya with a Healing Jacket & the improved Blackroot model.

    BTW, the Flow Spectrometer is an always on when equiped device. Do not go cross country with a Flow Spectrometer in your hand & Charges in your inventory. :lol:
