Same happened to me; I couldn't get a hit in after he pulled out the shurikens.

 

Agree. Polearm/Shield combo is excellent. Only annoying part is when the chick doesn't draw the trident and gets cut to pieces.

Also, I fought a chick with a club today. She hit me for 32 damage.

 

I got hit with a bomb. Still won the fight, though.

 

I've come to the conclusion that my brute currently sucks, and is in no way representative of how badass I am in real life.

So naturally, I cheated. I made some more brutes until I got one I liked. Fruitloop Bandit is a beast.

 

Yeah, my brute sucks to. Dunno what the hell I'm supposed to do with a lot of agility. Will try and what else I can get.

Edit: Didn't get a weapon at level 2, but instead got something that's probably one of the worst skills: Net. But, I'll probably stick to the new character, since he got maxed speed to start with.

SUPEREDIT: Just started a new brute with a knife. At second level she got "Master of arms", giving more damage to... The knife. Not as brutal as the bardiche (lol, 48 dmg), but still pretty cool.

 

So, house of lords clan for mybrute? =P

The flail is teh best. Best as in 40+ damage. Oh, did I say it hits more often than the cub? The bear is also a lot of rape. Too bad none of my brutes managed to get any of these two wonders.

Yea, I've a club. It's nice. I need some kind of pet. Life sucks without them.

 

I once fought like a big were bear or something. The brute also had a dog as well.

 

Everything is random. I've created up to 40 different brutes, just to get 4 stable characters, of which only on is actually good (linked in my sig). Armor is a really nice thing, same goes for Extra-thick skin. A combination of both is pretty nice: Daggers hits my brute for 1 damage, same goes for most unarmed hits.
