The current text is more like forum rules, FAQ usually has a question:answer layout. No problem though, as long as it gets the message across. Although it may appear to be a bit long, I prefer it that way rather then make it dry and uninteresting for the sake of brevity. We'll just need a simplified version for dumbasses and people who don't understand English very well.

Mentions about using the edit button rather then double-posting would be appropriate, if they can be squeezed in.

Also, put a link to the download section in there, for people that are about to ask where to find the UAP or the Arcanum soundtrack.

Actually explaining the acronyms is something the FAQ ought to do, so why not put that at the very end.

Not a fan, I liked the old one better. We should track down Jarinor and compel him to write a new FAQ.

Something in the trend of this?

Q: Me want to answer something that was years ago, can I?
A: No, Gravedigging (That is digging up dead topics from the past.) is bad for your health.

Q: Me forgot something to say, shall I post that as well?
A: There is on the right side of your post a button that says EDIT, click that, and you can write the forgotten bits.

Um, people, it's not FINISHED yet. Give me a little time. (Although certainly you've brought up some good points, which I will endeavour to address as I continue.)

I maintain that one month for gravedigs is too small.

I also maintain that I don't really see this as necessary at all.

I maintain yet again that better formatting should be used: Bold/resize/underline/whatever the section subheadings to better differentiate them.

    ......maintain.

    1. I don't like the one-month gravedig cap. Anything on the front page should be fair game. After all, it's easy to overlook the date of the last post, but only an asshole pops over to the second page to comment on topics.

    2. I second the motion to find Jar, and not just for his FAQ skills.

    3. I commend Caity for making an effort and actually doing something while the rest of us back-seat drive.

    4. No one is allowed to ask for moderator power except me. Because I'm cute and can get away with it.

Also let's not forget that DE, Vorak and I all got admin powers by asking for them.

    Just two thoughts for now.

    1) Shouldn't DBT and The_Bob be included in the Moderator list.
    2) How about adding the 'delete X' to the edit button section. For use when you want to un-stupid yourself.

If someone's responded to you you shouldn't be allowed to un-stupid yourself.

normally you're not. It's just that we've been gods for so long we no longer remember how it was like not to have superpowers.

Another thing for the FAQ - writing spoiler tags.

Spoiler tags... well, if I knew how to do them I'd include them. Anyone wanna enlighten me?

I have the actual FAQ part of the FAQ up and running now. Suggestions?

    Two issues.

    1. You've speeled Taluntain's name wrong.

    2. You called DU a woman.

We'd all been influential members for years when that happened, and we applied for the job when there was a need for it. Basically, we already had the power belonging to the position, and simply asked for the tools to utilize it.

And I don't really see the necessity of a new FAQ thread.

Just a quick question about the rules. It seems I gravedug on the Vampires board, in the fun moments in the game thread. But this new FAQ says a month or off the main page, and it was only two weeks old and one of the last updated threads. Sorry about doing it, but I'm a bit unclear about the exact rules for this.
