The green lines/dots are engulfing my screen and it is starting to look kinda like the matrix when I’m scrolling. I don’t know how much longer my computer will hold out.

Back now the problem seemed to resolve quickly this time.

Damn Geek-Squad to hell they said it was the cable to my hard drive that was causing the problems.

I replaced it and the problem remains, and those dammed basterds are closed on weak ends too. Either that or they don’t answer there phones.

I guess I’ll haft to yell at them and see if there’s a policy about diagnosing it again for free if they got it wrong the first time.

There pricing confuses me too, they’ll find out what is wrong with my computer for about $40, but to get them to burn a folder to a CD for you it costs $80. What the hell!

Let's be generous about computer problems. Lets not be generous about landlords who refuse to let you get and internet connection, even if you pay for the whole thing. Dial-up sucks. Time to move.

I'm using dial-up. To give you an idea, my internet is so slow that I have to wait about 10 mins for a webpage to load. I have a 56k modem and my ISP isn't slow, but for some reason, my net is :x 4KB/SECOND :x !!!!!

 

wow... im so happy ive got broadband.

 

:-( I’m Dial-up too, mine runs at about 28kbs with a 56kb modem.

I'm not actually moving-I just want to. Anyway, the public library has good computers & internet as I've found out. I need to get out more. My computer is hypotheticly 56k, runs at 16k, and downloads at 2k.

Mine is supposed to be 56k, runs at Google knows what speed and downloads at the rate it wants, either 300 b or 7,5k.

Anyway-Character is a minor technologist/drifter who loots caves, collects bounties, etc. for a living. Sort of like the Man With No Name-only he has a name. A human in his late fifties-fit but with greying hair and a limp. He has bad buns on his left from a steam accident which rather reduced his thirst for technical knowledge. Able to shoot relatively straight (expert). Arsenel includes pistol, molotovs, rifle, and throwing knives. Likes lentils and beef stew.
