I want to disable the spells from the conveyance college. The player will then acquire an artifact which allows him to use the conveyance college. Does anyone know how to conditionally disable the spells? Also, how do I block the player from teleporting? in the \mes\spells there is: // // Error Message Descriptions // {10000}{This place seems to block your attempt to teleport.} So I assume there is an option to make locations no-teleport zones. Does "block on world map" account for this error message? Or are there any other ways to block teleportation?
Honestly, I have no fucking clue. Try going into WorldEd and seeing if you see an option in one of the properties panels.
I've already had a long, frustrating look in WorldEd. Perhaps if someone can tell me where in the game you can see the teleport block message I can use WorldEd to examine the script which produces the message. Anyone know? As for disabling conveyance, I know I can go into the spell files and delete conveyance so it is permanently disabled but I would prefer an in-game way to temporarily disable it. {5}{I think everyone has done it with a balloon once. -Tim}
I bodged a solution to this weeks ago but I stumbled across the correct way to do it last night. In the Rules folder (of Arcanum2.dat, I think) there is AntiTeleport.mes. All you have to do is enter the areas and maps where you want to disable teleporting. Simple as that. I managed to miss it for so long because I undatted one of the files to a different folder from the others. Doh.
Yes he is. Anyway, why the hell didn't this thread show as unread before? I've never read it, but its been here for that long? Madness! Madness I tell you!
