Pretty sweet game that's in its Beta Phase. You and 39 other users are in a desert town, which is attacked by zombies every 24 hours. You need a beta key to get in, but if you send an e-mail to contact AT die2nite.com, they will be happy to supply you with one. www.die2nite.com Right now I'm doing auto-searching in a house outside town that I forced my teammate to clear out so he could rescue me (oops). It's good stuff.
I am going to resurrect this thread instead of linking to a one post thread. This game looks good and I wouldn't mind playing it. Do you still play this grakelin? If at all possible I would think it would be great to get us all involved as I think it is out of its beta phase now.
I disliked it, but I only played one game. The RNG can screw over 30 people at once with no cement drop day 1-2. Plus bad players. Plus no real payoff. Plus having to pay cash for classes and crap. I didn't derive very much enjoyment from it. But that's just me, other people may like it. Personally I prefer Zombie Pandemic for my zombie webgame.
I played several rounds of Die2Nite in November, but lost interest when I stopped doing show laundry and didn't have a standard block of time from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM every night that I could dedicate to it. Magikot is right that the RNG screws people over, but I thought that the bad players was part of what made the game great. There were a lot of politics going on in the boards, with lots of people vying to be the leader purely for prestige's sake, which was often the downfall of our towns faster than the zombies were. Deep stuff.
Pfft, I wish I had those pecs. Being chill is swell and all, but being able to crush a mans skull with your bare hands is so much more visceral.
Ah, this conversation makes more* sense to me now. * More is a relative term, and I don't care what wayne-scales says about it.
