Dexterity bug?

    Hello. Here is my problem:

    I can't raise my Pick Pocket skill, even if my CH is 20 (I boost charisma with charged rings). Is this is a bug?

    Do you wear gauntlets?

    Remove them and see what happens.

    Hm... there are no backgrounds that give you a pick pocket penalty, are there?

    That's awesome, my charged rings only boost Dexterity. :cry:

    Put 2 more CP into dex and you should be fine.

    Hmm, it seems that my Pick Pocketing skill is full, it's strange however, but Machined Gauntlets removes 1 point of Pick Pocketing (when worn). :???:

    Have you, in real life, ever tried to pickpocket with machined gauntlets on? Have you ever tried to do anything with a pair of metal gauntlets on? The penalty is far from being strange.

    Muro has a valid point. Machined Gauntlets would probably be highly cumbersome.

    Simply take them off when using the pickpocket skill.

    Muro > Arcanum isn't real life ;)

    Anyway, i thought that if something reduces skill, it will be written in item description (-1 Pick Pocket), or something.

    I agree there, but Troika left that out.

    That's something I love about the Infinity games. All the equipment you find, down to something as basic as an unenchanted dagger has an elaborate description to it. That's solid game design.

    Well, the description window is pretty small, so elaborate descriptions just won't fit.

    I've fixed and expanded a lot of descriptions in the UAP, btw. E.g. now all weapons that have a mana bonus, show it in their descriptions. I don't think the pickpocket penalty is worth including in descriptions, though.
