I was just making a point that mass-produced publications aren't always as reliable as you think
Especially magazines. Mose magazines are written so 11 year olds can read them comfortably.

If I may drag the original topic back into discussion?
-Ducks from FF branded coffee mug-

People want the final boss to be more difficult?
Something along the lines of, his health gets halfway and he summons a cursed paladin, his health gets down to 25% and he summons 2 more?
There's a few things going on in his heartbeat script but it shouldn't be too difficult to modify it a little.

    Sounds good.

As it is he summons a few Lord's Slaves, and they are just Gore Guards with a different name.

It might be nice if he'd cast more spells too, even if you're technological. Whenever I beat him with my Tech characters all he does is melee fight and summon those undead fighters that get butchered.

No enemy uses enough spells in that game.

I know I'm committing two crimes with this post, so I won't object to a banning or similar, but...

Killing Kerghan in one turn? No, I haven't. But I have killed Nasrudin in one blow. I had suffered through a particularly buggy, pre-patched game and was in a really foul mood when I finally encountered him. So instead of chatting up the old geezer I sneaked in and backstabbed him - and was mightily surprised to see him ship me off to the Void after he was dead.

And since I had no idea about the non-VD way to kill Kerghan and finish the game, I was stuck. I gave up on that game, and in fact the game, for a long time after that.

I think we all killed Nasarudin at least once, just for fun. It's quite fun that he doesn't have that much health.

Quite honestly, I've never killed Nasrudin. I've hit him, on occasion, because Raven didn't want my character, and I'm not about to hit any woman (real or not) for not making love gravy in my presence.
The result is the same, however. For striking him, he banishes you, and your party, to the void.

Man, the original Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was freaking awesome. I still want to find it for the PC, definetly one of the best FPS's for the 64.

Seeds of Evil was ok... but I got turned off from it. Perhaps it was too hard. I probably sucked at it. It just didn't feel fluid to me the way Turok was.

I should have suspected something to that effect, but my Nasrudin-slaying was the first game in which I met him, I prowled and backstabbed him, and he died - without even noticing my presence. What surprised me was how he could "void" me post mortem.

Then again, it would have messed the game up had I killed him without anything happening. Would it have been too late going to Kan-Hua then?

It's probably like a contingency spell, like from D&D (not that I know, or anything), that casts itself whenever Nasrudin has been damaged. I'm going to try and blow his head to pieces, and see if his will is still strong enough to banish me.
As for Turok on the PC, WTF? I had no idea it was ever made on the PC.
The first Turok was just that; The First Turok. You played as the dinosaur hunter that trained the kid in the second Turok, and in the third, you played as his little brother or sister (or were they cousins?). I dunno, I just thought the second and third were loads of crap. Don't get me started on Turok:Evolution. Rage Wars was OK, it was just really boring.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I believe I read about it on Wikipedia though, and saw mention of it in Google a few times. I should probably confirm it. Turok was so awesome.

    Edit: here we go http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/turokdinosaurhunter/

    Three games or something.

I know I have one of them somewhere, I think it was the second one, seeds of evil, got it on a free cd that came with some magasine sometime, and played it for maybe 15 minutes, I don't really like FPSes, and nothing interesting happened anyway.

I don't know if I'd want it on the PC. Sure, you could mod it to have just about anything in there instead of dinos and ass-hats, but the graphics weren't any better than the N 64...so yeah, I'm staying with the 64.

Then, by all means, just play the PC version, if you can find it. But...it's actually much easier to find an old 64, and then get the cartridges. I see them all the time in Electronics Boutique.

By any means possible, get yourself a 64 right bloody now! It's one of the best consoles out there, and the games to it... They're all fascinating.

And when you're at it, buy yourself Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie as well. You'll love them.

Oh I know. I really miss Rogue Squadron, Perfect Dark, and Goldeneye. Not to mention Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem: Zero Hour. Sadly in one of my weaker moments I donated my N64 to a charity. :(

(I still have all the violent games though...) Actually, come to think of it, I think I still have my friend's N64 up in the attic somewhere.
