I thought all of the Turok games were on N64. All of the real ones, anyway. Not that crap on the gameboy.
Whatever the case, those boss fights were HARD. I remember the first time I fought that giant mantis. I was 12, and I nearly crapped my pants when it burst through the wall.

You're right, Gross. They are on the N64 system. My mistake. The bitch for me was that flippin' insectoid in "Seeds of Evil". Only one damned week spot, and it was a pain just to get into position for a couple shots at it.

Now - if the Arcanum bosses can be redone to a similar degree of difficulty....

Just play Shaq Fu, the game only registered a hit if you hit them right in the centre of the torso, if an arm got in the way you did zero damage.

Hahahahahaha Shaq Fu what a hilarious game almost as bad a michael jackson moonwalker! Seriously the final boss should be extremely difficult like Ultamecia in ffviii as in no matter how super your character is, the damn thing can always do about 100x more damage than you. PLUS you have to kill the friggen thing a hundred times over to the point in which you say "Mother FUCKER WHY WON'T YOU DIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" and then finally they do die and your all the more satisfied with your multiple ending super game!
But the final boss shouldn't be the hardest monster in the game. Like also in the FF and KH series where there are seperate super monsters that are are million times harder than any final boss! You know you could make stringy pete be at level 500 and do some kinda move that reduces you to 1 hitpoint instantaeously and to beat him you'll need a full armada of comrades who are all at least at level 50 and have the skill suped up so you can lay into the bitch like theres no tommorrow coz if you don't kill him MAN there Ain't gonna be a tommorrow. Oh and there should be some choir singing latin very deeply everyone thinks thats cool!
    Or something like that...

Ultimecia, hard? My word, you must be kidding. One or two Lionhearts and she's dead. Mind you, her attacks do at best 150 damage to me.

The Omega Weapon, to me, is the hardest boss in FF8.
Just like Ozma is one of the hardest bosses in FF9 (if you don't help the spirits).

Omega is cheap. I think there must be some trick to Terra Break. I've beaten him many times but admittedly it relies on cheap tactics like Aura + Lionheart over and over again. Or most Invincible Moon.

    I never did beat Ozma...

Now I don't want to get off topic.

So what was this thread about, um... killing Kerghan in one turn? I can't say I've ever done that. Not that he's hard or anything. My followers usually pummel him into his shell in a few seconds while I pick off Gore Guards. I've always wanted to reach him with a Thief char or Gunslinger/Thief. It'd be a much harder fight.

I've beaten Ozma...But I only had Vivi alive to see it.
I think pitting The Juggernaut against Kerghan would be one hell of a fight. That would be tough...as for beating Kergan in one turn, no, it can't happen with the Juggernaut. Unless you get some of those boulders from Ashbury (and by some I mean one) and keep throwing it at Kergan over and over again.
I've beaten him in one turn by using the aerial decapitator, along with concussion grenades. Technology is fun.

Well to be honest. I've never made it to Ultamecia before. I just watched my step bro' finish it although he never made it to Ultima Weapon,( a feat I soon hope to accomplish) I have all the GFs besides Eden and I'm hell bent on beating my way the blasted thing! MY step bro never even made it too ultima weapon let alone kill it. He did however finish the game. But soon so shall I and I can finally put FFviii to rest just like i did Kindom Hearts. But man was Kingdom Hearts and excellent game but thats besides the point. Any pointers on how to reach and eliminate both ultima weapon and ultimecia would be greatly appreciated. I shall dedicate these great battles in your name!

I can't tell you how to beat either of them, but I CAN tell you that Omega Weapon is ten times tougher than Ultima Weapon. If you're level 100 by the time you reach it, Omega has more than 1,000,000 HP.

It's a side boss. You don't need to kill it to finish the game, but i know something major happens after you do it. I can't remember if I was really pissed or really pleased with the result.

I don't recall exactly what you get, but it's just an item, and it's nothing great.

I have a magasine that tells me that omega isn't actually as hard as ultima but is fairlly close.

I have a magazine that compares housing prices, but do you hear me bragging about it?

(I'm aware that I was just bragging about it in this post)

Ultima can kiss Omega's ass. Seriously. Omega, to me, was just as tough as (if not tougher) than the fight with an un-weakened Ozma.
And, I have a magazine that says if your hand is bigger than your face, you're gay.
I also saw on TV that my magazine is infallible, so it must be true.

Hey look I'll admit the magasine has problems. For one thing the name of pretty much everthing is all wrong because for some reason they thought is was easier to just translate a japanese version of the game. So item accumulation is difficult at best. Plus I think they expect you to follow there guide so that when you do fight Ultima its harder than Omega. Also the magasine has a picture of mid-life crisis man on the front cover.
Saying Duke rocks! We then carfully defiled that stupid face of his.
