T-A is not going anywhere.

I talked to Calis about a few things, and he said he'll stick around for the major PHP things that may arise in the future. He also agreed to add a nifty news script for us to make life much easier.

As of now, we are covering everything troika related.

Our staff:

Jinxed - Evil dictator in training.

Snowmane - Moderator.

Persephone - HTML, JAVA, content editor.

Jarinor - newsie (he needs to verify this though)

This doesn't mean we won't take anyone else in, if you think you're capable of helping out, don't hesistate to drop me an email.

Updates will be done shortly, we need to update the page, the news script needs to be done ect, ect.

Well, for what it's worth (I know, not a whole lot), I'm thrilled. I like things just the way they are.

Although,

will certainly teach me not to take anyone seriously when somebody says applications are only open to old, trusted, personal friends. Which I suppose is a good lesson to learn. Yes, that's it, a good lesson. I shall strive to be more upbeat, and more female.

I never said you needed a high post count, I said I need to know you a bit. Well, I got to know her, liked her, and she's on staff. She's got the right attitued about it.

She may not have a l33t post count on the forum, but I've seen her around, her posts have always been good, she didn't misbehave on irc... And besides, she's got a really cool jeep. Which received Tim Cain's blessing. :razz:

Yea, I'm still working on the smilies, it's hard to find regular old school smilies these days, sites are filled with crap animation.

Canis.. I'm just as surprised as you are that Jinxed actually wants me to do this, I only applied because I was sad about the possibility that my new-found forum was going to go bye-bye.

In defense of my relative "newbiness", I have been haunting the #arcnaum channel on IRC for a while, so while I've only been on the board for a couple of weeks, those who IRC have seen me around for quite some time... I think around 6 months or so (maybe before then, but my life has been pretty busy for the past couple of years, so my time-sense may be off )

And maybe if more old trusted people had applied they would have gotten positions too. I don't know how many serious applications got sent in, but judging by the thread, everyone assumed he was only hiring Jarinor and people like him (err... post count wise... there's no one like Jarinor... thank god...) Regardless of all the politics, I'm glad to help in any way I can to keep the forum alive.

 

I assumed that the tech skills were required, & that my eratic scedule & lifestyle left me little time for offical duties.

Part of my living comes from writing, so if writing / editing skills can help.... (I have my own spell checker.) (Need it too. )

Well, if Charles comes back, you can have the job of his personal editor, although you'll also need a lot of drugs (shouldn't be too objectionable for you ) or a full-time psychologist (apart from the cost, the idea of your mind being analysed and being fed a whole heap of jargon-based shit would probably be objectionable to you).

Yuck. I was bitten by a freudian as a preteen. That's why I am a staunch behaviorist. The difference: It realy doesn't mater why you hate your mother, when the question is; why is she still controlling your life when she has been dead for five years?
