Hey dude, thats one oldskool reference right there. I played lmost 1/2 the way thorugh shadow run before my sibling deleted my emulators. I got to the part where you go to the crimelord's house and it turns out hes a vampire, or something like that. Awesome game that one.

Thats got to be one of my favorite games. Where the hell does that guy live where vampires are gangmembers and the mysterious drake is a dragon, come on. Also what the hell is up with that dog."give me a bone, octapus ink, and a collar and you too can join my cult." unless your talking about the sega version of shadow run which is very different, but i assumed that you meant the super nintendo one.

I never played the video game, though I played the RPG (which was first) for a while. It was fun, a very creative concept, but a bit hard to stay alive if played correctly. Also, character advancement was set a bit too slow. You start out badass, but getting considerably more badass is psychohard and requires about a million gaming sessions.

for that reason we eventually stopped playing by the rules and just bashed each other with sticks... much more rewarding...

That would have been a little strange in my campaign, as we weren't doing LARP, but rather sitting around a board room table. I'm not saying I wouldn't have enjoyed it at times, but I get the feeling the GM would have been a little pissed.

Strange... In the Super Nintendo gameyou started out absolutely not bad ass at all, then again it took me about 100 tries to get past the first 3-10 combat encounters... That real time bullshit was annoying.

Yeah, the combat system was flawed alright. Moving that gun cursor around with your gamepad didn't offer that much in terms of good aim. It was a challenging game, but damn, it was fun too.

The greatest moment was finding out you could hire those followers, I always used the guy with the machine gun and the chick that could use magic... that was bad ass stuff.

The guy with the machine gun, he was an orc right? Yeah, I remember that... I think you could have a dwarf along as well. And that magician was an elf chic if my memory serves me right. Damn you Sleek, now you got me want to play it again...

No shit? Seems that I still have all my ROMZ and stuff! Heh, that's funny... I better delete all of it before you start asking me for it on AIM eh? :D

Is there a set number of ghouls you have to kill to get the bone, or is it random. All this shadowrun talk got me playing again, but ive been stuck in the cemetary for hours shooting zombies.

Do you mean in Arcanum or Shadowrun?

In Arcanum, you don't have to kill any of them. Just go inside the building and go downstairs. clear it out. You get the STONE, not the bone.

    Dunno about Shadowrun.

i was talking about shadowrun. Ive done everything i can think of in arcanum, except find out if there really is a vorpal bunny that you can fight. If there is one, can someone tell me where it can be found. And if you dont know what a vorpal bunny is watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

No, the Vorpal Bunny is from Arcanum. Monty Python and the Holy Grail just had a psycho rabbit, which the Vorpal Bunny is based off.

Oh yeah, Magick Aptitude 100 and 4th level Nature spell level (the one that summons an animal companion for you, and isn't part of the Summoning school) is what you need. The bunny fights for you, not against you I believe. You could also use a Stillwater Blade, but you'd still need the magick aptitude of 100.

When I said Shadowrun, I was speaking of the pen-and-paper RPG. And I mistakenly said LARP (Live Action Role Playing) when I meant playing the game around a table with dice and pens. Unfortunately, my friend that got me into the Shadowrun group finished college and moved back to Long Island, and since I didn't really know the other guys, they never called me. Hey, that's how things go.

So what did you play Sigurd, a physical adept? That would be what I'd assume from your posts. I played a mage until I realized they sucked compared to Shamans. Shamans rock. I played a Bayou Gator shaman with a thick cajun accent.

I likely would have, if I had known such a thing existed when I started playing. I actually had two characters. The first was a redneck named Cletus MacLeod. He was basically a tough, insane gun-wielding cowboy. He died in a bizarre train crash, and was resuscitated by Doc Wagon magi. Cletus then kicked ass in two subsequent missions, but got his shoulder and arm blown off by a small tank drone in the second. Without funds to buy a cyberarm, Cletus was useless. I then created Scrag. He was the most badass orc imaginable. His stats were Body 10, Quickness 6, Strength 8, Charisma 3, Intelligence 4, and Willpower 3. Obviously a combat-oriented character. Charisma? Who needs it when your light machine gun can do the talking? Scrag carried a M22A2 and an Ingram Valiant LMG. When playing as Scrag, I waxed a ridiculous number of asses, including four Lone Star cops. That's tough. Here are my stats:
    Unarmed/Bite: 2/4
    Rifles/M22A2: 4/6
    Heavy Weapons/Valiant: 3/5
    Edged Weapons/Spatha: 3/5
    Stealth: 2
    Athletics: 3
    Street Etiquette: 4
    Gang Etiquette: 4

The best thing is, I actually used the Unarmed/Bite when I killed one of the Lone Star boys. Yes, Scrag bit his lower jaw and throat out. I then bought him a Buzzsaw CyberJaw. I also had to get a Kevlar tongue implant so he wouldn't bite it off accidentily, and vents in his cheeks to drain the blood that would otherwise choke him. Unfortunately, I never go to use it.

Oh, by the way, excellent character concept, Lab. Funny that you and I, definitly NOT rednecks, would have rube characters.
