If I told you the reason I did that, I would be worse off than not telling you.

Well, SF had just said that...
But I suppose you had your reasons for posting that.

Wow, and here I thought I'd be accused of spamming. Believe me, if I could delete that post I would. I would edit it to say "post deleted" or something but theat might be worse.

Are you sure you can't delete it? I remember deleting one not long ago, which had more posts afterwards.

I think you got mixed up or something, because that's impossible.

This, is actually a good thing. I recall this being possible at the pits of annoying-like-shit spammy hellâ„¢ (read -> the NWN boards). Damnit, you could even delete the first post in a thread. Imagine how that looks when you've got a number of replies below...

You should be able to delete your post RIGHT after you create it...but if someone creates a follow up post, then you're not able to delete it....

Yep. You'll get this neat little cross next to the edit button. You just have to click it. It will vanish as soon as a new post hits the thread.

But as I said earlier, the ability to delete posts that have follow entries is a downright bad idea.

all ebay/half addicts raise your hands......... **raises hand**

maybe we could start a support group type thread for all the shit we buy of ebey of half or amazon or numerous others. I often find myself "window shopping" on ebay or half. for things that I dont the $ for, but would like to have. And every once in a while I purchase something, realise my mistake, search for and buy something for my wife to make up for it, and then run out of gass in my car then next week. LOL-no shit this has actually happened  (twice!!)

It's great how we are slowly entering off-topic...

Course, I don't know where that ebay part came from....

We were discussing books, someone said that someone should try buying a book on eBay, then someone else said half.com and then it was all down hill.
Anyway, to get things on topic, I really like the Drow race. They're my favourite PC race, right next to Thiefling.

Heh, don't know what Kender have to do with anything....but why would DMs not let you play one?

I mean...a Kender is basically like a normal halfling...actually, they basically are halflings...just make a halfling and make it have the personality of a Kender...

I have 2 books on 3rd edition that are for the DragonLance world...and there is also a thing called an "Afflicted Kender" which is basically a Kender that is a coward....those Kenders whom saw thier home place get destoryed by that evil dragon....poor poor Kenders =/

most DM's can't handle the random idiocy of a Kender character... they have essentially no use in a serious campaign, other than comic relief/sheer annoyance. i was lcuky, though. i had a great DM for a long time, who would let us play just about anything we could dream up... and our games never got close to serious. i've played dragons, half-dragons, assorted were-beasts, fairies, and quicklings as well as standard human/dwarven/elvish characters... too bad she eventually went on a power trip and killed us all :/

When people DM, they aren't supposed to have "serious" campaign. A serious one would be more of people being in characters, Kenders are a serious race...the way they act is how they would act if they were in real life....so it would still be a good story.

I think they DMs you've been playing with mainly are some piece of crap DMs who don't know how to create good worlds and stuff like that....
