Hey guys, glad to see you back. Looks like posting dates are being applied okay now, but there is a knock-on effect. Your date-descending sort will cause all of the posts made during the next week to appear after those made during the buggy period. I dunno if you can do anything about this (edit the post dates for the bugged ones?) but there ya go.
Adding a post to the topics who's last post reads 10-24 puts it back into the correct order (in this case 10-18). I had the same problem when I tried to convert an Ikonboard to phpBB. The topics and posts converted, but the dates where thrown all out of whack. The only way I found to fix it was to manually add a post to the end of each thread to bring it back into the proper order.
Oh well, I had nothing better to do, and there weren't that many posts dated 10-24, so I just bumped them to get the correct "last posted" date. All the topics should order into the index properly now.
Now why didn't I think of that ...? [ This Message was edited by: Sheriff Fatman on 2001-10-18 12:15 ]
