Hello. I've been through the game with a technologist, and decided to play it again, after a couple of months, with a mage. When I got to Tulla, I tried to get the dark necromancy master title, mainly because the "hurt" spell is probably the most useful in the game. As soon as I got into the magical maze, I entered a chamber with two boxes, containing some pieces of armour/equipment. Picking them up teleported me to the second room, which is empty, besides the pedesta in the middle. I tried equiping the stuff I found in the first room thinking "yeah, so I'll just wear this guy's necklace/helmet and I'll be teleported to the real challenge. The problem is that none such thing happens, and I'm pretty much stuck in the damn room as I can't teleport myself out. I tried the search options on this forum, most of the walkthroughs/UHS available online, with no results. (Your walkthrough specifies the game crashes in the press release, but I'm pretty certain imy game version isn't Press Release Deluxe) Um. Help. Please? ( I just hope this question hasn't been asked a zillion times before and the mods have answered a zillion times "sorry bud, game bug" )
You aren't doing the master quest. You're doing the help the guy get his goblet quest. The master quest is in the circle in the center of the first floor of the house. To get out of where you are, do the *spoiler* following. Wear stuff is this order, touching the center after each change: Nothing, ring, necklace, helm, boots, gloves, dagger, all, none. Remember to get the goblet. After you teleport out, get rid of that special coin that teleport you in there. Put it in a bookcase or something. Then you can go do your master's quest. I've never done DarkNecro, so I can't help you there.
Ok. Thanks! (how the hell is one to know in what order to touch/ wear the stuff originally, anyways?)
Yeah I agree. I always thought it was kind of a stupid puzzle, especially as the reward plain sucks. If you wanted to stretch it, you could say there are hints in the wall hangings on the room, but I think you would be wrong. I always hate puzzles where the best way to do it is just trial and error.
