    A way to reliably connect organic matter in general and cerebral matter in particular to electronics would be one hell of a leap for science, that's for sure. It would also be the point in history* where the old science fiction cliché of people leaving the real world completely to immerse themselves in MMO's would truly kick off.

    Like Xz said, it would also trigger an unprecedented wave of suicides should we all have an instant messenger pinging in our heads. Wiring the Internet to the central nervous system is bound to have its own barrage of nasty side effects.

    Personally, I look forward to the porn.

    I think we're quite a ways away from any sort of technology like that being available/consumer-level. Like, probably a hundred or two years.

    Very punny. Regardless, I have enough trouble wanting to speak to people on messenger as it is, same for replying to bleak texts, and I never answer my phone for fear of being stuck in a conversation I don't give a damn about with someone who got my number from someone else. In short; I like to selectively block people and pretend I'm unavailable or AFK. Simply put, this applies to me as well:
    I have nothing to say about Daggerfall, oddly enough.
